A mi-chemin entre le Kraut Rock de leur tontons teutons (Can), de la Synth Pop de leur très stylish & british cousins (Simian Disco Mobile) et de la Néo Disco de leur mentor norvégien (Lindstrom), The Name  n’en est pas moins un duo (Batterie / claviers) au caractère fort et au groove dévastateur. Les collaborations pour la série « Bref » de Canal +, leur statut de « Découverte » au printemps de Bourges et le soutien appuyé d’Arnaud Rebotini laissent présager un 
avenir prometteur.

A fusion between the Kraut Rock of their german uncles (Can), the synth pop of their british cousins Simian Mobile Disco and the neo disco of the norwegian tutor (Lindstrom), The Name is a groovy duo Bass and Drums with strong personality and devastating grooves. Their score for "Bref" on Canal Plus, the "up and coming talent" status at Le Printemps de Bourges and the strong support from Arnaud Rebotini are elements that allow to believe in a bright future.

CONCERT : ORCHESTRE DU MONTPLAISANT (GLOBAL BEATS FROM OUTER SPACE / UK) + DJ SET 

Déjà surprenant avec le projet Guess what - qui nous a rendu visite en octobre passé – le label Catapulte records n’a pas fini de repousser les frontières du prêt à l’écoute en explorant les no man’s land musicaux les plus foutraques. Ce Catapulte All stars orchestra, réuni des genres qui ne semblaient prédestinés à la fusion avec une aisance qui nous invite à les suivre jusqu’au bout du voyage.

They surprised us with the "Guess what" project that paied us a visit last year. The infamous Catapulte label is still willing to push the boundaries of genres, eras in a mix of colours and sounds that weren't predestines to fit together. That Catapulte All Star Orchestra  will take the audience on a long lasting trip.

Bruce James, pianist virtuoso and Bella Black, the singer (described as Nina Simone meets Skye from Skunk Anansie) are James & Black, this texan duo whose music ranges from swamp soul to r&b to psyche rock and Delta Blues.
